The Context Of Who We Are
There is a saying, “ Don’t judge a book by its cover. ” The content in the book is better than the cover. The content of the book tells you the full story. Meanwhile, the cover tells you a summary.
When people first interact with a person like me, they make assumptions about what we can and cannot do. They think that our challenges are our whole story. But, that’s not true.
When you take the time to get to know someone like me, you will understand the full context of who we are. You will understand that there is more within us than what’s on the outside.
We are all authors of our own manuscripts. We became authors the day that we were born. Every year is a new chapter. For me, every chapter of my life is better than the previous one. Yes, there are difficult days, however, my challenges don't define the full context of who I am.
If you only focus on the cover, you will miss the greatness that’s written inside the story. If you take the time to read the context, you will realize that we are more than what is on the cover.
The context of who you are is better than the cover of who you are.
